FAMILY HISTORY: Josh's great grandfather on his dad's side immigrated from Egypt to NYC. He adopted the last name of "Washington" to assimilate into western culture. He started a company that owned and operated parking garages around town. The small company later turned into a lucrative empire, thus creating the Washington family fortune.Josh's dad, Bob, moved to Los Angeles when he was young to pursue his dream in the movie industry. He eventually started his own production company out of Burbank that was known for indie and low budget horror films. During this time, he met and married Melinda, a woman of mixed Peruvian and white descent.EARLY LIFE: In 1995, Joshua Robert Washington was born while his parents were vacationing in New York City. He surprised them by being 3 months early. Suffice it to say, infancy was a struggle, but he made it through. Once healthy enough for travel, his parents brought him home to the Washington estate in Beverly Hills, Ca. As a kid, he was a hyperactive handful, diagnosed early with ADHD.MEDICAL HISTORY: The following are HC's to fill in background in the psychiatric report found in game.4/2/2007 - when Josh was only 12, he got in a fight at school. A couple of boys were harassing his sisters, and he stepped in. They were in an outdoor walkway on the second story, and in the altercation, one of the boys pushed Josh over the railing. He landed on the ground of the first floor, resulting in a head injury and a broken leg. He was referred to Whale Point Surgery to get a small plate put in his head. This was the incident that began his bouts of insomnia. The head injury would later lead to complications with paranoid schizophrenia.

^{BIOGRAPHY CON'T.}
10/19/2009 - At the age of 14, Josh got into drugs as a way to deal with anxiety. Nothing really hard, but he and his friends took to huffing aerosol cans on their lunch period. Unfortunately for Josh, this conflicted with his ADHD medication, giving him adverse effects. One day, he ended up on the school's roof and was shouting at everyone from above while stripping down to his boxers. He was instantly taken the to Pastoral Wellbeing Center where he became a patient for six weeks. This led to Josh being held back a year in school.Josh spent the next few years being passed off to different doctors. Some wanted him on more medications, others wanted him on less. Eventually he ended up with Dr. Alan Hill who found the right cocktail that kept him stable. That, however, only worked until the disappearance of his sisters.On 3/14/2014, dealing with major depressive disorder, Josh attempted to die by suicide and was rushed to Ocean View for treatment. When he was released, he was doing well for a couple of months, but eventually stopped taking his mediation. This led to the events of the incident on Blackwood Mountain. It was during this time that he dropped out of school and moved back in with his parents.After Until Dawn: After discovered in the mines, Josh was taken straight from Blackwood Mountain to Ocean View where he was a patient for four months. Once released, he continued to live in his parents Beverly Hills house, however his parents are rarely there now. They keep busy with work, trying to find their own ways to heal. A deeper dive into their motives and relationship with Josh will come later. The tl;dr is that they do love him, but tensions are strained and Josh takes it as a sign that they hate him. Especially his dad.
